Benetti News 2011

2011 Fort Lauderdale

Benetti’s event schedule kicked off on Wednesday, 26 October at the 2011 edition of the most looked-forward to overseas boating event: the 52nd Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
The first event was entirely dedicated to its boat owners and SYBAss guests, (the leading association for mega-yacht builders), and was held the evening before the boat show’s official opening. The event gave guests the opportunity to preview the Benetti and Azimut Grande stands as well as climb aboard the boats on exhibit. It was a “private preview” or better yet, a front row seat far from the distractions; and, it reinforced – even in the context of a boat show – the world-famous Benetti care and attention.
There was a taxi boat service devoted to bringing the guests to the mega yacht area, delivering them right to the heart of the event.
A second event was held on the evening of Thursday, 27 October. In collaboration with the New York investment bank, Merrill Lynch, a select group of guests had the opportunity to experience Benetti and Azimut Grande yachts at sunset, enjoying – even if only for a few hours – the glamorous atmosphere and a cocktail.
The next day, the show and the boating theme really came alive with the presentation of the new Fractional Yachting project by SeaNet, the leading American company specialising in fractional boat ownership.
Benetti’s superior construction was what led SeaNet to select it for the Fractional Program Fleet program. The first model to launch the program will be the Delfino 93’. Part of the new, semi-custom Benetti Class line, the Delfino 93’ was chosen for its superior design solutions, technical components, and features typically only found on larger boats.
While Benetti’s design and construction talents convinced SeaNet to enlist the company to build the program’s yachts, it was the undisputed boating services leadership of another Azimut-Benetti Group company – Fraser Yachts – which immediately won over SeaNet and led the company to entrust Fraser Yachts with all aspects of yacht management: from concierge bookings, to maintenance, to crew management.
It was a packed and intense schedule: a real sign of Benetti’s vitality, dynamism, and forward momentum, confirming its lead role in the boating scene worldwide.
